Questions
Your questions, answered plainly.
Honest answers to what worried clients ask most, about who we are, how the process runs, what it costs, and how we protect your data.
About us
About us & credentials.
Yes. Our lead Chartered Accountant holds ICAI Membership No. [XXXXXX], and our lead advocate is enrolled with the [State] Bar Council under No. [XXXX]. Your matter is handled by qualified professionals, not unqualified staff.
Our registered office is in Hyderabad. Because tax notices and the faceless assessment system are handled online, we serve clients across all States & UTs without you needing to visit in person.
By a team. A dedicated Chartered Accountant and a Tax Advocate work on your matter together, our dual-matrix approach, so the numbers and the legal position are both reviewed before anything is filed.
The process
Your notice & the process.
A specialist reviews it and sends you a 3-point breakdown: what the department is asking, your real deadline, and your current risk. We then schedule a strategy call so you know exactly where you stand before deciding what to do.
A specialist picks up your notice during office hours (Monday to Saturday, 10:00 to 19:00 IST). Notices uploaded on Sundays or after hours are picked up the next working morning. If your deadline is close, say so in the form and we will prioritise it.
Yes. Our advocates draft the appeal and represent you at hearings before CIT(A), the ITAT, GST authorities and NCLT, so you are not facing the department alone.
Upload it immediately so we can act on it. If the deadline has passed, we advise on condonation of delay or the best available remedy in your situation. We cannot promise an outcome, but acting quickly gives you the most options.
Pricing
Pricing & refunds.
It depends on the notice: a defective-return mismatch takes far less work than a detailed reassessment reply. Our single package covers the consultation and the full notice response, and once we have read your notice we confirm the fee in writing. You approve it before any work starts. See the Pricing page for what the package includes.
[Refund policy placeholder.] Please ask us before you pay if you have any doubt, and we will explain exactly what is and is not refundable for your engagement.
Security
Data & security.
Your files are encrypted in transit and at rest, and are seen only by the team assigned to your matter. We do not sell or share your data.
No. Access is limited, and documents are deleted [X days] after your matter closes, in line with the DPDP Act 2023. We keep only what we are legally required to retain.
Only the Chartered Accountant and Advocate assigned to you. Your notice is not circulated beyond the team working on your matter.
Recent changes to the law
What has changed lately.
Yes. The Income Tax Act, 2025 takes effect on 1 April 2026 and replaces the Income Tax Act, 1961. It simplifies the language and introduces a single "tax year" in place of the earlier "previous year" and "assessment year". Notices and assessments for years before that continue under the 1961 Act, so most current matters still run on the old sections. We work across both.
Since the Finance Act 2024, a case can usually be reopened up to 3 years and 3 months from the end of the assessment year. Where the income said to have escaped is Rs 50 lakh or more, that extends to 5 years and 3 months. This is much shorter than the earlier limit of up to 10 years. A Section 148A inquiry comes first, which is your chance to stop the reopening before it starts.
From FY 2024-25, GST tax demands are issued under a single new Section 74A, which replaced the earlier Sections 73 and 74 (effective 1 November 2024). It sets a common 42-month time limit for the notice, and the time to pay with a reduced penalty was extended from 30 to 60 days. Demands for earlier periods still fall under Sections 73 and 74.
Usually not directly, because a notice is dealt with under the law that applied to that year. But the deadline, the section quoted and the right reply strategy all depend on which regime applies, which is exactly what we check first when you upload it.
